Without knowing the back-story, I'd say it had just rescued her from a 'fate worse than death' where she'd been chained...
It would make a *wicked* cosplay.
Such a pity there are no powered hexapod platforms between book-sized and crab-logger.
Perhaps, like a Dalek, you could have a bantam operator inside and castors under the beastie's wide butt...
Crucial detail: I like the robust limbs of the beastie. Too often such are drawn absurdly spindly, like flamingo legs on a giraffe !!
